Yolanda Christian is the daughter of a Macanese mother and English father and lives in Camberwell, London not far from where The Happy Sunbird begins.
Yolanda previously studied fine art at the Slade School of Art, London and went on to exhibit and work as a visual artist and visiting lecturer. She has also taught special needs and other groups within the community. Her paintings and prints have been collected by a variety of museums, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and:
